A Couple Delicious Recipies

From My Friend Paula~~ You wont taste the carrot or the ginger too strongly-it is rich and yummy
Carrot Ginger Soup
3/4 c minced onion-I just chopped it
1/4 c peeled minced ginger -i chunked it :}
4 T & 3 T butter
6 c vegi broth-you can use chicken-i just don't
12 carrots-sliced
1 tsp sugar
1 1/2 C Half & Half
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 c flour
Saute the onions in 4 T butter 5 to 7 minutes
Add broth, carrots and sugar-simmer 35 minutes or until the carrots are very tender
Puree this mixture and strain-what is left in the strainer is YUMMY! I used a cup in biscuits and another cup in some savory muffins!!!!
Return liquid to the pot and add Half & Half
Melt 3T butter in another pan and when melted mix in the 1/4 c flour cook until bubbly-whisk this very briskly into the soup -this thickens it a bit.
Season with Cinnamon Salt & Pepper

Auntie Go's Homemade Orange Sherbet
Puree 4 large oranges in a blender or food processor til very well liquefied
Juice of 4 lemons or 6 oz lemonade-we added the whole 12 ounces
3 C sugar
6 C whole milk
2 C whipping Cream
mix it all together :}

If you have an ice cream maker put it in there or you can just stick it in the freezer!! So good and much yummier than store bought!!!!!
